    Description

    This is a rare 18th century heavy newel post from a 1780 home that was on lower King St in Charleston SC.  It has remnants of its white paint.  It is 44 1/2" tall, very heavy, heart pine and 1/2 shape so it goes against wall or a neat decorative item.
