The Indian Powerplus Motorcycle was built from 1916-1923 by the Hendee Manufacturing Company
The Powerplus was designed by Charles Gustafson
The Powerplus was Indian's first flathead
Indian produced motorcycles from 1901-1953 in Springfield, Mass
The original Indian company went bankrupt in 1953
Polaris Industries bought the Indian Company in 2011. Manufacturing plants have been moved to MN and IA. Production of Indian Motorcycles have been underway since August 2013
