    Here is a wonderful pair of World War II era blue athletic, gym trunks – shorts that appear to be made of cotton with an engaged belt and nickel buckle, padding on the hips, yellow EMPIRE label, vertical yellow gold stripes on the sides, and the letter A with CROSSED RIFLES done in felt. We do not know what these emblems mean, possibly the A is for Amsterdam, N.Y., rifles for shooting team or possibly the military?  If you know, please, let us know. The size tag is gone but the waist measures about 32”. They are in solid but used shape so, please, use the photos to help you judge condition for yourself. It would display beautifully in your retro sports collection!
