1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE LS3 RESTOMOD: --Riverside Red, Red interior, Red carpeting, Black convertible top, Concours restoration with modern performance upgrades, 6.2 Liter LS3 V8 engine with 383 HP, 5-speed manual transmission, Vintage Air - air conditioning, Exceptional throughout. Starting with the first year of the Stingray, a 1963 convertible, this Corvette was completely restored and remastered into an exceptional “restomod” with modern components by Gearheads Garage of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The fit and finish is superb throughout and all systems operate as they should. Driving this Convertible has the fun and feel of driving a modern sports car while still presenting as the iconic Stingray Vette. Essentially, the best of both worlds. Powered by a GM 6.2 Liter LS3 V8 with 383 HP and 386 lb-ft of torque, the engine is mated to a Borg-Warner 5-speed manual transmission. The chassis has been modernized and customized to handle the new powerplant. Further upgrades include a stainless-steel exhaust system with solenoid-actuated dump valves, C4 Corvette disc brakes, adjustable QA-1 coil-over dampers, cross-drilled and vented rotors with stainless, braided brake hoses. The result is a lighter, stiffer and more enjoyable modern sportscar than the original while keeping all of the original’s iconic looks. The interior has been upgraded with Red leather, new Red carpeting, a GM tilt steering column, wood-trimmed steering wheel, custom Auto Meter circular gauges, Vintage Air-air conditioning and the original clock was restored and sits above a modern-classic look radio. This Corvette was repainted in Riverside Red and all of its brightwork was refreshed. Also fitted was a new Black convertible top and new 17-inch reproduction “knock-off” wheels. This custom Corvette is exceptional throughout. It is ready for immediate driving and touring pleasure. What was once an older classic American sports car, it is now an easy-to-use modern resto-mod that is a joy to drive. It is not only powerful, but extremely docile when used around town.
