Description

1971 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster 454 Big Block Numbers Matching Convertible 454 unrestored classic American sports car
This Corvette has the genuine classic looks and is real head turner where ever it goes. They are only original once. Keep that in mind as you examine this GM time capsule, originally built in May 1971. There are a lot of C-3 Corvettes, there are a few 454 cars, there are even fewer that are numbers matching, stem to stern (engine, transmission and rear end), there are even fewer automatics and the rarest of the rare are the un-restored cars that are still in good driver condition. This is one of those cars. This Big Block 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is a blue chip investment grade fantastic example of the C3. It is beautiful, unrestored and a believed all original car.
From a private, four car collection, it is located in Saratoga Springs, NY and priced to sell.
This is my personal vehicle with a clean transferable title in my name.
Temperature control garaged, covered and well cared for.
Buy with confidence, I've been selling/buying on eBay for over two decades with immaculate feedback.

Factory GM Rally Wheels, BF Goodrich Raised White Letter Belted T/A tires are older and in fair condition.
Original gas cap. The

Engine
::
The car has its born with numbers matching 454 and it runs and drives fantastic with an upgraded LS6 aluminum intake manifold and matching rectangular port iron heads. It also has a upgraded mild hydraulic performance cam. Four-barrel carburetor. Stainless Steel headers add extra power while also feeding an aftermarket set of baffled side pipes under a set of factory correct side pipe covers. Engine oil is always changed regularly with 5w30 with a proper Zinc additive. The rare optional Turbo 400 3-speed was professionally rebuilt, with a shift kit 3 years ago and shifts like new.
Interior
::
The original AM/FM radio still picks up all the best classic rock and country stations. Three-spoke telescopic and tilt steering wheel. The tachometer, water temperature, oil pressure and battery gauges operate. The ignition sometimes does not turn the first time you attempt to start the car, it might need a new key cut. The speedometer needs a new cable. The drivers side door handle requires repairs. The clock in the dash does not operate.
Odometer shows 49k miles.
Battery (behind the driver) has kill switch that is great for storage and car shows, leaving no worries of battery dying.
The fiber optics still work.

This Corvette comes from long term ownership and had a short racing history. It was raced in the late 70's and early 80's. The engine was rebuilt a few years ago, the original transmission was also rebuilt and re-installed, the engine was rebuilt for the street and received significant care to ensure that it is a fun and reliable weekend cruiser, fit for any muscle car enthusiast.
