Nice decorative antique oak hardwood turned newel post. The newel post is painted in a light varnished  finish. The newel post has a very nice large beehive top finial, with 3 sided bullseyes. It is a salvaged piece so expect to find nails, nail holes, and small chunks missing. scuffs and scratches. There is a notch on the bottom. Overall good solid condition.
