Nice decorative antique turned wood newel post. The newel post is in a dark destressed varnish finish, with some brown paint.  Has a nice large ball top finial. It is a salvaged piece so expect to find nails, nail holes, small chunks missing, scuffs and scratches. There is a notch on the bottom.  Overall good solid condition.
