Nice decorative antique turned newel post. Has a medium varnish finish.  Has a nice small simple ball top. It is a salvaged piece so expect to find nails, nail holes, and small chunks missing. scuffs and scratches. Has a notch on bottom and top for hand rail. Overall good solid condition.
