Antique Large Carved Wood Roman Soldier Architectural Newel Post Top 22" Tall

This large one of a kind newel post top, is from the distant past and an unknown high end property. Carved finely out of solid wood, an  architectural feature that just won't be made today. You will be hard pressed to fine another one anything like this one. It can be reintegrated into the architecture of your home or displayed as a fine work of art. List here as found at auction.
Measures approximately: 22 1/2" tall x 12" deep x 7 1/2" wide.
Nice antique condition with some small damage to back of helmet and back tip of plume, which does not take away from this one of a kind item's displayability. Top plume is not glued to head, but sits in and is secure in slot. See photos
