  • Condition: This is an antique Child's large doll chest of drawers with mirror. The mirror has some loss of silvering and the chest has expected scuffs and scratches due to old age. Beautiful porcelain drawer knobs

    Description

    ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MIRRORED CHEST OF DRAWERS SALESMAN'S SAMPLE OR  FOR LARGE DOLL.  Beautiful chest with carved insets.  The upper piece (Mirror) has two flat candle holders and lovely shaping.  The lower portion (the chest) also has carved insets and three drawers each with an antique porcelain knob.  The mirrored portion measures 16 x 18 x 3 and the chest (or lower portion) measures 16 x 12 x 7 1/2.  In spite of the fl
    aking silver on the back of the mirror, the piece shows beautifully.
    I have removed the nuts and bolts holding the mirrored piece to the chest so that it can safely be shipped without risk of torque damaging the mirror.  They are taped in the upper drawer and can be put back in by removing the upper drawer and turning them in place
    The wood is either mahogany, or stained mahogany shade.  For its age, it is in very good condition.  Is it perfect, no,  But it is in good condition.
