    Description

This is a 1984 personal check (see picture) nicely signed by the legendary jockey EDDIE ARCARO.  Eddie Arcaro is the only jockey to win TWO Triple Crowns--in 1941 on Whirlaway and in 1948 on Citation.  He won a total of 4,779 races in his career with earnings of over million.  In addition to Whirlaway and Citation, Arcaro rode such notable horses as Nashau, Bold Ruler, and Sword Dancer.  He was inducted into the U. S. Racing Hall of Fame in 1958, and he is widely regarded as the greatest jockey in the history of American thoroughbred racing.  Sadly, Eddie Arcaro died in November 1997 at the age of 81.  This check is clean and intact, exhibiting the usual bank marks, folds, and cancellations.  The signature is very legible.  This check would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a very unique gift for that Eddie Arcaro enthusiast, horse racing historian, or vintage autograph collector in your life!  Postage is .25.  And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases.  Sorry, NO international shipping.  Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
