This listing is for a pair of vintage Indianapolis pins / buttons.
Indy Star News Team Trip Winner
- circular, 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Image features the crossed checkered flags. I believe this to be a pin that was given for winning a trip to Washington DC for selling subscriptions. Probably about 1981ish. Pin has heavy surface scuffing, but the image is unmarred. The back has tarnished and has evidence of an old sticker. There is some rust near the pin.
Indianapolis Winning
- circular, 1 inch in diameter. Image is a checkered background with "Indianapolis" across the top and "winning" across the bottom. Pin was made by Button Graphics LTD in Indianapolis. Pin has some chips around the edge. and some small scratches on the front. The back has a few small rust spots. I believe that this is from the Pan Am Games that were held in Indianapolis in 1987.
A unique and RARE pair of pins from the mid to late 1980s. Perfect for an Indianapolis 500, Pan American Games, or Indianapolis history collector!
