INTERIOR SERVICE KIT for your VINTAGE DELTA UNISAW - Friction reducing parts

Description

When rebuilding your vintage Unisaw, replace the original fiber thrust washers with friction reducing UHMW washers.
The primary items in this kit are the super slippery "ultra high molecular weight" plastic thrust washers for both the elevation and tilt adjusting shafts, making the handwheels easier to turn.
The kit includes the following 13 pieces:
Four (4) UHMW thrust washers
Three (3) tapered pins
Three (3) stainless steel rolled spring pins
One (1) 3/4" single split clamp collar
Two (2) gray nylon washers
On the elevation shaft, thrust washers are placed between the pinned collar at the rear of the shaft and the rear rocker casting as well as between the set screw collar and the front side of this same casting.  The set screwed OEM collar allows you to control the clearance between this sandwiched thrust absorbing package.
The tilt shaft uses similar thrust washers on both sides of the front trunnion casting but the clearances in this location are not adjustable when assembled with the pinned worm gear and the OEM pinned shaft collar. The kit includes smaller outside diameter washers for the tilt shaft loication.  there is a thin UHMW washer to go next to the worm gear and a thicker UJMW washer to space the set collar further away from the trunnion for clearance,
The original equipment worn fiber paper type thrust washers leave extra slop in the tilt motion and most new thrust washers tighten the assembly too much, making the tilt crank difficult to turn.
This kit includes a split clamp collar to replace the pinned collar on this shaft, allowing you to control the  clearances on the tilt shaft thrust assembly like you are able to do with the set screw collar on the elevation shaft.
Why use a clamp collar?  The original pinned parts are mated and drilled specifically to their position on a shaft.  If a pinned collar is installed backwards or if a wrong collar is installed at any one location, the thrust washer clearances may very well be affected.  Using a clamp collar eliminates this difficulty and the fear of mixing up the shaft collars or their specific orientation.
We have also included three (3) new tapered pins.  These hard-to-find pins fit in both of the the worm gears and in the rear collar on the elevation shaft.  The original pins need to be removed with a hammer and punch and are often damaged or lost during a rebuild project.
However, newer saws use roll pins instead of the tapered pins, so we have decided to include these as well so the kit fits a wider range of Unisaw years.
We have also included two (2) gray nylon washers for placement between the hand cranks and the saw cabinet.  These washers are cosmetic and take no thrust force when installed with a slight bit of clearance.
An instruction sheet is included so you can understand what pieces go where.
