I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian, fern and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. Normal Schools were
originally
established
to provide systematic training of teachers. Their goal was to prepare teachers for work in the emerging Common
Schools
at a level beyond the simple grammar-
school
education many teachers previously brought to the classroom. Most of these schools, throughout New York State, eventually were turned into four year colleges within the university system.
I
t
measures approximately 3.5" in diameter and is 2.0" tall.
It is in overall excellent condition, with the exception of a flake right in the middle of the  school in the transfer, but please look at the pictures to determine its overall condition.
