    Description

    Up for auction is a very nice New York City souvenir plate. The sticker on the back says simply
    MADE IN
    JAPAN
    .
    It features the Statue of Liberty surrounded by the United Nations, Empire State Building, Times Square, Manhattan Skyline, Coney Island and Rockefeller Center.
    This plate is 8 inches in diameter and weighs 11-3/8 ounces. It has a gold and purple / pink border.
    I put the date in the 1960’s because the Astroland Tower in Coney Island was built in 1964 and the World Trade Center opened in 1970 and is not pictured.
    The condition is very good, no chips or cracks.
    I see a scuff next to the Empire State Building, a tiny dark spot beneath the Skyline and 2 little dimples in Times Square but it is all minor.
