    I have for sale and attractive Newel post not sure of the wood may be black walnut,nice carvings with deep cut flutes very solid. Sizes are 9” at the widest point and it stands at 52”. It appears the Broke off years ago by looking at the smoothness of it. Height is adjustable when installed on your stairs.
