Description
Up for Buy-It-Now are 4 new old stock pinion gear puller tools (in one box), Indian Motorcycle part number 33-T-69. This item was obtained from an old service garage and is not a newly remanufactured part. According to limited research on the web, I believe these are used on the V-twin Indian Chief and Scout motorcycle's in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's. The Federal stock information also gives indication this was used during the WWII era. In addition, I see that the Indian Motorcycle Company closed their factory in Springfield Mass. in 1953, so this would have been manufactured prior to this date. As always, please do your own research to confirm the application listed above.Contained in the box are 4 individual pinion gear puller tools. I have provided picture numbers 5-9 to show a puller from another broken box I have so that you can see what the tools look like. You are purchasing a brand new, never opened box of 4 individual pinion puller tools (pictures #1-4). Each individual pinion puller tool is packed in heavy grease and wrapped in wax paper. The outer box has the following information:
Quantity: 1 Pc.
PULLER, PINION GEAR
Contract No. W-19-059-ORD-2689
SNL No. G-27
Fed. Stock No. 41-P-2951-23
Mfg. No. 33-T-69
Mfg. by
INDIAN MOTORCYCLE CO.
Springfield, Mass.
The box measures 4" x 3 3/4" x 4 and is quite heavy weighing in at 4 pounds 7 ounces. The outer paper on the box has some minimal dirt form many years of shelf storage. The paper labels on the outside are in excellent condition and the information is easy to read.
This item would be a great addition to a vintage Indian Motorcycle memorabilia collection or for those who need this tool for a restoration project.
