    Description

THIS LISTING IS ONLY FOR THE KITCHEN CUPBOARD / DINING ROOM HUTCH AND THE CHINA DISHES
    .
MY JB HITTY, HER YELLOW BASKET AND BUNNIES ARE NOT A PART OF THIS LISTING.
This listing is for a vintage, handmade, hand painted doll's kitchen cupboard or dining room hutch. Also included are the pink and white china cups, saucers, plates, coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl displayed on the shelves of the cupboard. The hutch measures 7 3/4" - 8" H x 5 1/8" W (at widest point) x 2 1/4" D (at deepest point). This cupboard or hutch is a great size for 6"-8" dolls like a 6 1/2" Hitty or Kish Riley, the mini 6" American Girl dolls, the tiny Betsy McCall and maybe even the 8" Madame Alexander doll Wendy. This cupboard is vintage and was most likely made by a father for his daughter, perhaps sometime in the 1950's. It originally had no backing behind the shelving and was painted a shade of green that was popular in dollhouse furniture of the 1950s. The cupboard was in rough shape when I bought it. I repaired it, added a thin wood panel backing behind the shelves, and painted it a pretty shade of Colonial blue with acrylic paint. I thought about decoratively painting it in the Pennsylvania Dutch style with little white daisies and leafy green vines but decided I preferred it plain. It will be up to you (after your purchase) to decide whether to decorate it or leave it plain. Whatever you decide, I would suggest adding a coat of lacquer to protect the blue paint.
The china in the cupboard is included in the listing as an added bonus.
I have done my best to describe this item but pictures will always tell you more. Please review all photographs carefully and please ask any questions that you may have before offering to purchase this item.
PLEASE NOTE: MY JB HITTY DOLL, HER YELLOW BASKET AND HER BUNNIES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING.
The china in the cupboard is included in the listing. My 6 1/2" Hitty is in the photographs to help you visualize how this cupboard might work for your own small dolls. And, as for the bunnies, well, they are just there for a bit of fun and silliness.
Thank you for looking. If you haven't found anything of interest today, please come back again later for another look. We will be adding new listings each week (mostly dolls and doll related items) in the coming months as we continue the process of downsizing.
