operates on a 33kHz frequency and is able to detect
buried cables and pipes utilising 'power', 'radio' and (in conjunction with
the signal generator - not included) the 'Genny' m
ode.

Locates a wide variety of underground pipes and cables, primarily as an aid to safe excavation. Low service cost.
Used alone, the Cable Avoidance Tool detects natural signals being carried on the majority of underground pipes and cables.
The precise location and direction of pipes and cables can easily be determined.
The unit is lightweight and highly durable with built in loudspeaker which can be detached and held next to the ear in noisy work environments.
Very little training is required to use the equipment successfully.
The Cable Avoidance Tool also detects the signals radiated from Transmitter, which enables a greater range of selective tracing possibilities.
The MK2 Signal Generator (sold separately) supplies a 33KHz signal which can be applied to a metallic service either by a direct connection or by induction.
Connection of the signal to the service is made either by connection
(using the leads and clips supplied)
, or via a Signal Clamp, or by induction where the Signal Generator is placed near the service in question.
