    Description

    RARE 19th c. PAIR of cast iron Horse head Hitching Posts. Both posts measure approx 35” high x 8” not including portion from underground. Cast in full round, curly mane, fluted column footed by lions head and scroll ornament. A comparable piece sold at Christie’s American folk art auction for over ,000. Single hitching post.
    Pair has crusty black paint surface and are in untouched condition since removed from a Gladstone NJ farm years ago. These are for pick up only or buyer can arrange shipping. Located in Westchester county  NY horse country.
