REPLACEMENT LOCKING SHAFT - UNISAW HANDWHEELS - BRASS BULLET TYPE

Description

Replacement threaded shafts for the center lock knobs on the UNISAW handwheels.
This is a "new" machined shaft, for the later style "brass bullet" lock system behind the center knob at either the tilt or elevate handwheel on your vintage Unisaw.
The "brass bullet" lock system requres a long shaft with a tapered point.  The tapered point wedges between two brass plugs forcing them outward into the bore to secure the handwheel from turning.
These components are often found to be missing or damaged during a rebuild of a vintage Unisaw.
The price listed is for one shaft.  The knobs shown in the photos are for reference only and are
not
included with the shaft purchased from this site.
The shafts are designed for a light press-fit into the knob.  However, each shaft order from this site is provided with a small vial of Loctite retaining compound, should you find that your existing old knob fits too loosely on the new shaft.
We are also remanufacturing a replacement shaft for the dust door latch and have this item listed on another of our eBay sites.
We do have new billet aluminum style knobs available as shown in the photos.  We also have a matching "finger" knob available for the early style Unisaw fence.  Please check these out on another of our Unisaw parts sites on eBay.
A few stock diecast knobs are also shown in the photos.  Although limited in quantity, these are also available for purchase upon request.
