This is a Shopsmith PowerStand for mounting Special Purpose Tools (SPTs) as stand-alones tools, it includes:
* Stand with the base mount
* Pulley/belt guard
*1/2 hp, 1725 rpm Emerson motor
*12’ power cord (needs new plug, see pics)
Shopsmith On/Off control (it is fixed so that you do not need the pesky key, but the pieces to reinstall this option [plastic piece and spring] are taped inside the switch box)
If you are looking for the option of saving time switching between SPTs by having a stand-alone option, this is for you. Note that it includes a 1/2 hp motor and also the 1725 rpm which enables (with the right pulley combo) to get down to speeds well below the 700 rpm limit of your Mark V. This, in turn, allows for slower speed work like thin and soft sheet metals along with plastics while still able to reach the 1,000 rpm plus needed for standard bandsaw work .
It is in good condition and the motor runs smooth. It does not include retractable casters or rubber feet.
