Description
The Restoration of the Statue of Liberty /Ellis Island was done during the 1980's. Gold Leaf Company was allowed through contract with the Parks Department, to remove artifacts and debris from the site. The marketing effort went into gear and many common items were sold to the public to raise monies. Metal / Copper removed was repurposed and sold, however, the valuable Copper Original Saddles and Ironinfrastructure of the Statue were decided to "tastefully" be kept from sale. There were to few and the cost would have been prohibitive. This is one of those early recoveries as the company went to work in The Registry Room on Ellis Island. Known as The Great Hall, it is where many of our ancestors arrived in America! This Brick was there and part of the area's that needed restoration and was removed. The company over the years filed for bankruptcy, and was not allowed,or in good taste did not market these original Authentic one-of-a-kind unique items. The few to make it to market were gifts or presentation pieces...This is one of them! Would look amazing in a Manhattan Penthouse, as a tribute to your Family's beginnings in America!
I will consider reasonable offer's but it is to rare and valuable to discount very much.....I will retain item as monies cannot be placed on this items value! So at ,000, I am giving you the opportunity to buy it at my "I DONT want to sell it price". Will be tracked and insured for full value..
