Description
Hard to find, limited edition, McDonalds and Walt Disney Pin.This pin was given to the 2000 student delegates who attended a special event where some received the Millennium Dreamers Award. Held in 2000, it was a joint effort between The Walt Disney Co. and McDonald's, in association with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The global children's recognition program showcased the outstanding community accomplishments of youths between the ages of 8 and 15. These 2000 Millennium Dreamers each received an all-expense-paid trip (along with a guardian) to Walt Disney World to attend a global celebration and children's summit, May 8-10, 2000. During the summit, the delegates participated in an interactive symposium as well as a ceremony where the Millennium Dreamers were recognized for their outstanding contributions. The pin is shaped like a white banner with grey shading on the ends. The word "Millennium Dreamers" is across its front, with the "M" being the trademarked golden arches McDonald's uses and the "D" being the familiar first letter in the signature of Walt Disney. The words are underlined with a thin red line. There are a few gold stars throughout the banner as well. The pin measures 2" (52 mm) wide and 1/2" (12 mm) tall. It has a double-post back but no copyright markings on the back (presumably because there is a "TM" trademark at the end of the word "Dreamers."
