this is a fun vintage find for lovers of 'The Met', and a great addition to your collection; these are the vintage colorful metal admission buttons for the Metropolitan Museum of Art located on Fifth Avenue in New York City; initiated in 1971, the metal buttons were given out with each ticket and required to be worn around the museum; visitors were carefully watched by the museum security guards to ensure that each visitor's button was visible; the buttons were created in more than 16 different colors and the museum would rotate the color selection and use a different color every day; the museum ceased using them in 2013 due to rising cost of production; these buttons are based upon a design using the Museum's "MMA" logo and are slightly smaller than the other buttons; there are 19 buttons available in the following colors and quantities(listed as shown on the first picture from top to bottom and left to right): Pink(4), Salmon(2), Magenta(5), Dark Orange(1), Orange(2), Yellow(2), Purple(1) and Teal(3); the price listed is for the purchase of a single button; please enter the number of buttons you wish to buy and send the seller a message with the colors and quantity of each button you want.
