    motive
    seems to be some prisoners of war from the Caucasian Native Cavalry Division so-called «Savage Division» which was formed on August 23, 1914, and was composed mostly of Muslim Volunteers from various peoples of the Caucasus. It took part in World War I commanded by Grand Duke Michael Alexandrowich of Russ, younger brother of Emperor Nicholas II.
